I Spoke Too Soon

Last night Jared barfed for the first time. Real, grown-up barf, not just baby spit-up. It took me an hour to clean everything up (give Jared a bath, rinse out clothes and sheets, put in a load of laundry), and his room STILL stinks. Not to mention that after two shampoos, Jared's hair STILL stinks. (P.S. On top of the barf, he had a major blowout as well. See yesterday's post.)

My friend Katie commented to me that she would rather clean up poopy pajamas every morning than clean up barf. I agree whole-heartedly.

You poor mommy. I like to spray Febreze Air Freshner after poop or throw up. My kids throw up a lot, really sensitive gag reflexs. I hope Jared is feeling better. Let us know about the diaper debate.

Ella threw up for the first time two nights ago, and my niece threw up for the first time about 30 minutes ago... I guess something is going around? Yuck.

Been there and I have tons of sympathy. If the vomit got on any bedding or the floor, try baking soda. You have to let it sit for several hours, but it helps to absorb some of the nastiness. Then you just need to ventilate every day for a while.
