A couple of days ago some high school-aged girls knocked on my door. They were trying to sell fund-raising items for EFY and cheerleading camp. Anyway, when I answered one of them hesitated and then asked, "Is your mom home?"
I answered, "I am the mom."
I don't know whether at my age to be offended or flattered. :)

definitely flattered. Lucky you!
Be flattered--I think it's always better they assume you're younger than older! You look darling, by the way!
This is a total no-brainer. It's a compliment!
One of my friends is 24, and everyone thinks she's in her 40's. She goes to the mall with her other 20-something friends, and the clerk thinks she's their mom (when her friend was going to make a purchase, the clerk looked at my friend and said "Well, what do you think, Mom?"). A coworker said my friend's mom could not be in her 50's and was probably in her 70's. Sad!
You're just so cute. Live it up!
Well, you know how I'm living with my parents right now while we're looking for a house? I answered the door and a door-to-door solicitor asked if my parents where home. I just laughed and told him no.
You should be flattered. Usually I don't FEEL old enough to be a mom :)
Be flattered! We get it all the time but you could be offended also cause after they leave I say "seriously"! Its funny though!
Hummm... the same thing happened many times to your dad. You are lucky to look young and a chip off the old block. It's a compliment!
Be flattered, and enjoy every moment of it! It used to happen to me, too. In fact, once a girl younger than me whispered to a mutual friend, "What is SHE doing with 2 kids?" She thought I was a teenager... however, I was 27 and had been married 7 years:) Now I'm 35, and it doesn't happen as often. So just embrace it! You are beautiful!
It just goes to show that you really do look "stunning". :) PS I meant to mention last night that I really do think you look really good!
