Opening presentsThe Buddy turned one this past week! To celebrate, we had a nice dinner at our home with all four of his grandparents and then a small (well, that's a relative term) party with his Stout aunts and uncles. Jared loved opening his presents, but he didn't get excited at all about his cake! I think he was a little overwhelmed by the whole affair.

Jared received a giant teddy bear as one of his gifts. I think the highlight of the evening was seeing his face light up when he first noticed it, and then watching him spend the next ten minutes loving, hugging, and cuddling with the bear.

Those two videos are priceless. You will be so glad you have them. He is a darling birthday boy and provided lots of fun entertainment. We just love him!

Jared tackling the bear is really adorable. I really like how thrilled Alan is over it too. You both are great parents. Could you ever imagine how much you could love that little guy? It is hilarious that Jared didn't want to eat his cupcakes! I can't believe that Jared is already a year old, time flies! happy birthday to Jared!
So cute! And Clark pretty much had the same reaction to his cake--except he threw a fit when Adrian put his fingers in the whipped cream! :) Happy Birthday, Jared!
Wow, can you believe how fast a year passes? It's hard to imagine them EVER being a year old when they're newborns, like your pictures in the last post. I think time goes faster with kids!
